Before he became a Hardware Consultant, Gody Famy was an industrial engineer. This is where he first began to recognize the important role doors and hardware play in life safety, accessibility and security.
With this recognition, Gody joined the door and hardware industry in 2000 and has never looked back.
Over his long career, Gody has represented hardware manufacturers and distributors across the world, from Asia and Australia to the Middle East and Africa.
He has focused on the healthcare, post-secondary education and commercial interior sectors.
Gody achieved the Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC) professional designation in 2017 and brought his international perspective to Total Opening Consultants in 2019.
Projects of note include the prestigious and iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai. At 163 storeys, it is the tallest structure in the world.
These healthcare projects require some of the most complex hardware applications in the industry, particularly in areas where mental and behavioural health needs were taken into consideration.
